South Africa will face Nigeria in the semi-final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Cape Verde 2-1 on penalties on Saturday night.
The Bafana Bafana played second fiddle to Cape Verde in the game but were resolute at the back.
The keenly contested encounter went into extra-time after both teams failed to find the winner in 90 minutes.
The scoreline remain the same at the end of extra-time.
South Africa goalkeeper, Rowen Williams was the hero as he saved three out of Cape Verde’s four spot-kicks.

Hugo Broos’ men will look to earn a berth in the final when they take on Nigeria at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake on Wednesday.
