Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has said his side must get more clinical following their qualification for the knockout round of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The three-time champions booked their passage into the Round of 16 following a 1-0 victory over the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau on Monday night.
Nigeria finished in second position in Group A behind the Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea.
The Super Eagles have managed to score three goals in three games in the competition so far.
Peseiro insisted it is important for his team to start scoring goals at this stage of the competition.
“It’s a new competition that’s starting for us. The most important part of a competition, the knockout matches,” Peseiro told reporters. READ ALSO:

The Super Eagles will take on the second-place team in Group C in the Round of 16 at the Felix Houphouet Boigny, Stadium on Saturday night.
