Terem Moffi will link up with his Super Eagles teammates in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday.
The OGC Nice of France player was handed a late invitation to the team following injury to Victor Boniface.
Boniface sustained a groin injury in training and has returned to his Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen for treatment.
The 23-year-old will undergo surgery and is expected to be action for three months.
Moffi will feature for Nice in a league game against Stade Rennes on Saturday.
The striker will be released by Les Aiglons immediately after the game.
