Alhaji Abdul-fatahi Ajenipa, has emerged as the new chairman of the Labour Party in Kwara State.
The state congress that produced the new executive council was held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Solid Worth Hotel, Ilorin.
Other executive members like secretary, state woman leader, Treasurer, PRO, Youth Leader were also elected.
The delegates to the congress came from all the three senatorial districts in the state.
Hon. Awokunle Femi Onaara and Hon. Alabi Samuel Olumide led the delegate from Kwara South, Alhaji Bayo Usman Salaudeen and Hon. Ayinde Sikiru led the delegates from Kwara Central while Abdulkareem Abdullahi and Abdulrahman Salihu and Hon. Muhammad Ladan led the delegates from Kwara North.
On December 28, the state chapter of the Labour Party held its ward congresses while the local government congresses followed on Friday, December 29, 2023.
A statement by the party says this year’s congress recorded the highest number of attendees in its history.
The new state chairman, Alhaji Abdul-fatahi Ajenipa expressed his appreciation to everyone who contributed in one way or the other to the success of the congress.
He thanked the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Commissioner of Police and the Director of DSS for providing maximum security during the congress. READ ALSO:
