By Godwin Kingsley, Lafia       A councillorship aspirant under the aegis of the All Progressives Congress in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa state has called on the people of the state to support the present administration of APC under the leadership of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.

Mohammed Mustapha who is vying for Sarkin Dawaki ward stated this at the state party secretariat while purchasing his nomination form ahead of the forthcoming local government election slated for March 22. Mustapha identified Governor Al-Makura as a true democrat who deserves second term in office.
The councillorship aspirant added that the second tenure of the incumbent governor would guarantee the consolidation of his present achievement.
“Is no longer news that Lafia the state capital was given a facelift in governor Al-makura’s regime. You would agree with me that the state capital was a glorified local government before the coming of the present governor whom I describe as a messiah”, he said.
The councillorship aspirant listed some of the string of success recorded barely three years in
office to  include the construction of massive township roads in the state capital and the installation of traffic light which he said reduced the rising spate of accidents in the city center.
Other achievements he listed also includes the construction of township roads in some local
            government headquarters.
According to him,”in the history of democracy in Doma Local Government, for the first time a state governor constructed 3-4km township road.
Mustapha also commended the chief executive for the introduction of free primary and secondary education in the state.
He also commended the state Governor locating Army Battalion in Doma. The councillorship aspirant who was a card carrying member of the
People’s Democratic Party, PDP, said he was foist to decamp to the progressive party due to the developmental stride of the governor.
He enjoined the people of Sarkin Dawaki ward, Doma Local Government to turn out en-masse to acquire the membership card of APC .

Mustapha buttressed that if elected as a councilor he will accord priority to youth and women empowerment as well as support motions that has direct impact on the lives of the indigenes.
Speaking on the chance of APC winning the forthcoming Local Government elections, Mohammed averred that the APC is at the vantage position to sweep all the elective seat come March 22, calling on the people of the state to support the transformation agenda of Governor Al-Makura.
