By Gracious Akujobi Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi has disclosed that his team is likely to camp in the United States of America ahead of the 2014 world cup in Brazil.
According to him, the decision to camp the Eagles in the USA stems from the proximity and weather condition so that the players could acclimatize quite ahead of their opening game.
His words, “While in the USA we would prefer to play countries with similar styles like the teams in our group”.
Keshi expressed satisfaction with the world cup draws that pitted Nigeria with Argentina, Iran and Bosnia, stressing that Eagles could not have asked for a better draw.
He however, hastened to warn that the group will not be easy. Asked about his target for the world cup, Keshi said “My personal target will be to win every game I play,we can only see where that takes us”.
On the possibility of more home based players breaking into the world cup bound squad, Keshi said the boys have the opportunity to break into the team if they show class in CHAN Cup and if they are exceptional.
