By Gracious Akujobi Ahead of the commencement of the 2013/2014 Glo Premier League season, Chairman of Taraba FC, Tijani Babangida has assured of the State Government readiness to ensure speedy the completion of the stadium in Jalingo to enable his team prosecute their matches there from next year.
Babangida, an ex -international disclosed this to Prompt News Online in Abuja, saying his club is determined to put up a decent performance in their first season in the premier division as the club was positioned to secure a comfortable league placing at the end of the season.
“We are already preparing very well to make sure we retain our place in the premiership. With the rumor that the new season will begin from February, we are working towards making sure that we get our stadium ready by then”
“Work has reached advance stage there and it is my desire that Taraba FC play most of their home matches there when the season begin,” Taraba chairman said.
Taraba FC alongside three other clubs Giwa, Crown and Abia Warriors FC gained promotion to the Glo-Premier League at the end of last season from Nigeria National league (NNL).The Club placed third at the Super Four organised at the end of the league for the four promoted teams.
