The Africa Regional Director of the World Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (WANGO), Mohammed Bougei Attah has been inducted as a Mentor in the 2016 edition of the Queen of England Young Leaders Forum from across the worId.
A strong worded letter of commendation and appointment addressed to Mr. Attah and signed by Sebastiaann Rigter, the Programme Coordinator of the Programme which was made available to this medium at the weekend, reads in part “We received a great amount of impressive applications, and it’s has been very difficult for us to make a selection.
‘ We’re happy to inform you that your application is through to the next stage: The Mentor Matching”
The Letter further explained that the Institute of Continuing Education, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, The Queen’s Young Global Leaders Program is that which recognizes young leaders from the Commonwealth countries who are working on amazing projects to help transform their communities.
It was gathered that Mentors with sound experience in project management, particularly from the civil society organisations, are selected from across the world to assist these young leaders meet their goals of building their communities.
According to the letter ‘Attah is expected to be matched with these young leaders from any part of the countries under the Commonwealth in May 2016, taking into consideration area of focus and expertise’.
It would be recalled that in August 2012, Attah had also served as a Associate Mentor of some selected NGOs under the Resource Alliance Group, London in the United Kingdom and is currently the National Coordinator of Procurement Observation and Advocacy Initiative,( PRADIN) a select group of non-state actors,(NSAs), trained under the World Bank-Federal Government of Nigeria Economic Reforms and Governance Project.
