As the Federal Road Safety Corps celebrates its 28 years anniversary nationwide, amid all other flurry of activities aimed at renewing its commitment, the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive, Boboye Oyeyemi commended the noble efforts and successes of Officers and Marshals as well as Special Marshals of the Corps, aimed at achieving the major goal of the Corps, which in his world he tagged “trending down Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs)”.
Boboye Oyeyemi made this known in his personal letter to all Staff of the Corps, sent to their individual official emails.
According to Bisi Kazeem, Head Media Relations and Strategy of the FRSC, “the Corps Marshal is full of praises to all the Officers and Men who has constantly ensure sanity on the highways through traffic control, enforcement activities, rescue operations, and constant public education and enlightenment
As a show of faith, the Corps Marshal has expressed no doubt that their resilient individual and collective field and administrative activities will always be geared towards achieving the mandate of the Corps in 2016.
Commander Bisi Kazeem stated that in the letter to all staff of the Corps, Oyeyemi saluted the vision of the astute founding fathers of the Corps as well as other staff whose innovative and committed services from the very onset is remarkable. He noted that the Corps Marshal asserted that the launch of the FRSC in 1988 preceded the United Nations recommendation of a lead agency for road safety management for member Countries.
In a final call for more commitment, the Head Media Relations and Strategy stated that the Corps Marshal has charged all FRSC staff and Special Marshals to work as a team united by the cause of ensuring RTCs are not only reduced, but that good road safety culture becomes a stronghold of the shift in attitude change among all the categories of road users.
