A former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Haliru Bello and his son, Abba Bello have been granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
Mr. Bello and his son, Abba, who were arraigned on Tuesday over corruption charges, were granted bail in the sum of N300 million each and two sureties each.
The trial Judge however said that they be remanded in prison pending when they meet the bail conditions.
According to the Judge, one of each of the sureties must be a civil servant not below Level 12 in the civil service while the other must be owner of landed properties in Abuja.
Both Bello and his son have also been directed to deposit their travel documents with the court.
Prompt News recalls that the PDP chieftain, Mr. Bello appeared in court on Tuesday on a wheel chair.
