The Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has taken his campaign over alleged attacks on Christians in the state to Israel.
Dachomo arrived in Israel on Friday, October 2, 2026, as part of what he described as his first international Christian advocacy tour.
The cleric said he would seek to draw the attention of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other world leaders to the security challenges and killings affecting communities in Plateau State and other parts of Nigeria.
According to a schedule posted on his social media platforms, Dachomo is also expected to meet Christian prayer groups from different countries to raise awareness about insecurity and attacks in Plateau and Nigeria.
Explaining his decision to embark on the trip, the clergyman said it was necessary to take the concerns of affected communities beyond Nigeria and seek greater international attention.
Dachomo also referred to statements by United States President Donald Trump concerning killings in Nigeria, saying he considered the Israeli engagement another avenue to highlight the situation.
“By the mercy of God, I will be addressing the world in Israel,” the cleric said.
He said he intended to pray for victims of violence across Nigeria, including Muslims and Christians affected by insecurity in the northern states, as well as other groups facing violence.
Dachomo alleged that armed men had attacked his community and killed three people within his jurisdiction.
He said he hoped to personally communicate the experiences of affected Christians to Netanyahu if he had an opportunity to meet the Israeli Prime Minister.
The COCIN chairman also criticised the Nigerian government over what he described as its failure to adequately address alleged persecution of Christians, while calling for greater attention to insecurity across the country.
