Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Moscow ahead of their international friendly against Russia next Tuesday, Prompt News Online reports
Media officer Promise Efoghe confirmed that the Nigerian delegation touched down in the Russian capital on Friday as preparations intensify for the encounter.
Eric Chelle’s men will face Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in only the second senior international meeting between the two countries.
Their previous encounter came in June 2025, when both sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
The Super Eagles will be aiming to return to winning ways after suffering a disappointing defeat to Guinea-Bissau in their last outing.
Chelle has also made two changes to his squad following the withdrawals of captain Wilfred Ndidi and Akpe Victory. John Otomewo and Vince Osuji have been drafted into the team as replacements.
