Phyna Knocks Out Nkechi Blessing As Carter Efe Defeats Speed Darlington In Celebrity Boxing

Reality TV star Phyna and skit maker Carter Efe emerged victorious in two highly anticipated celebrity boxing bouts at the “Chaos in the Ring” event.

Phyna defeated actress Nkechi Blessing by knockout in the fourth round, while Carter Efe secured a unanimous-decision victory over rapper Speed Darlington after four rounds.

The Phyna-Nkechi Blessing bout was preceded by a tense build-up, with both entertainers exchanging heated words during promotional activities. Their confrontation at a press event reportedly became physical before organisers stepped in to separate them.

Once the fight began, Phyna relied on her speed and movement to keep the bigger Blessing at bay, landing quick punches while moving around the ring.

Blessing responded aggressively in the second round, pressing forward and engaging Phyna in several exchanges. The third round was more evenly contested, with neither fighter able to produce a decisive moment.

The turning point came in the fourth round when both fighters exchanged a series of punches before Phyna landed a decisive blow that sent Blessing crashing to the canvas.

Prompt News reports Blessing was unable to beat the referee’s count, handing Phyna the knockout victory and the championship belt.

Phyna later revealed that the knockout was part of her plan from the beginning, saying she intended to “gas out” Blessing before going for the finish.

Her victory also earned her a brand-new car from one of the event’s promoters.

However, Phyna was already looking ahead to another challenge as she called out actress Etinosa immediately after the bout. Etinosa subsequently entered the ring and accepted the challenge, setting up a potential contest between the two entertainers.

Earlier, Carter Efe also recorded a victory over Speed Darlington, beating him by unanimous decision after four rounds.

Carter Efe maintained his unbeaten record with the win, while Speed Darlington entered the contest having previously suffered a loss by technical decision.

The fight was also surrounded by drama during the build-up, including an incident in which a birthday cake involving the two entertainers was reportedly kicked to the ground. Firecrackers linked to Carter Efe’s entourage also briefly caused a fire at the venue before it was put out.

After retaining his celebrity boxing title, Carter Efe said his immediate plan was to marry his girlfriend, Taylor Jasmine, before considering another fight.

The skit maker also expressed an interest in facing international boxing stars, including retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.

“I want to fight with men, like Mayweather,” Carter Efe said.

However, when asked whether a fight against Mayweather could be arranged, the response was met with laughter and a firm rejection.

“Fight with Mayweather? Hell no. That ain’t happening,” he was told.

Carter Efe subsequently thanked his supporters for backing him following his victory.

The two bouts added further drama to the growing celebrity boxing scene, with the event combining entertainment, rivalry and competitive action inside the ring.
