Nigerian entertainer and activist Charly Boy has spoken candidly about his past, revealing that he was involved in criminal activities during his younger years while living in the United States.
The veteran entertainer made the disclosure during an appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Friday, where he reflected on the decisions and experiences that shaped his life.
Charly Boy admitted that he made several mistakes in his youth and engaged in actions he now considers reckless and regrettable.
“I’ve made mistakes in my life. I’ve been a thief. I’ve done very risky things. I’ve done very stupid things, very foolish things. In fact, I have no business being here with you tonight, but I guess there’s a purpose for my life,” he said.
Speaking further, the social commentator revealed that his time in the United States included involvement in financial-related crimes during his twenties.
“I was doing white-collar crime when I was in America. I was about 25 years old. I was doing a lot of stupid stuff. That’s why I say I’ve been there,” he added.
