Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has opened up on why he allegedly turned down an offer to join Mavin Records despite being offered one million dollars.
The rapper disclosed this in a post shared on his official X account, where he suggested that his personality and approach to social media played a major role in his decision.
According to Blaqbonez, he is not comfortable with constantly engaging fans online or maintaining a heavy social media presence, which he implied may be expected from artists signed to major record labels.
“Need to get this off my chest before chanel drops, the reason I didn’t sign to mavin when they were begging me with a million dollars is cos i don’t really like posting,” he wrote.
“I prefer 1 tweet per year than engaging my fans, I’m too big for that, I’m mysterious.”
