Reality TV star and entrepreneur Tacha Akide has opened up about the major role her mother has played in shaping her life and career, describing her as the inspiration behind her drive for success.
Speaking in an interview with Sunday Scoop, the former Big Brother Naija housemate reflected on her upbringing and credited her mother’s hardworking and prayerful nature for influencing her mindset.
“My mum is my driving force. I had a hardworking and prayerful mother. I always feel the need to make her proud. I feel like if she had the opportunity like I have right now, she would do all she can, and that’s why I keep being me,” she said.
Tacha also spoke about her passion for makeup and the motivation behind her Guinness World Record attempt for the highest number of cosmetic makeovers completed within 24 hours.
“Make-up is part of my life. I have been into make-up since I was 14 years old. You have to be into make-up for a long time for you to want to break a record about make-up. I didn’t want to talk too much about how good I was at it; I just wanted to show it,” she explained.
