By Olusegun Lawrence The immediate past Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Lamorde Tuesday failed to honour the invitation of the Senate over alleged missing N1 trillion.
Mr. Lamorde, who was recently relieved of his plum job as EFCC Boss, was billed to appear before a Senate Committee to defend the petition filed against him by Mr. George Uboh.
However, his lawyer, Festus Keyamo told members of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions that Lamorde has travelled abroad to seek medical attention.
George Uboh, who is a security expert, had in his petition, dated July 31, 2015, accused the erstwhile EFCC boss, Lamorde of diverting huge chunk of the looted funds recovered from a former Inspector-General of Police, Tafa Balogun, and former Bayelsa State Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha.
