Davido’s Alleged Baby Mama Accuses Adeleke Family of Intimidation

The mother of Anuoluwapo, the 12-year-old girl at the center of a long-running paternity controversy involving Afrobeats star Davido, has accused the Adeleke family of intimidation, manipulation, and abuse of influence.

She also denied claims that additional DNA tests were conducted in 2020.

In a statement released Wednesday, the woman expressed shock that her sister, Titilayo Labinjoh, had reportedly been in contact with Dr. Deji Adeleke since the COVID-19 pandemic.

She questioned the purpose of the conversations, describing the development as a betrayal.

“To my shock, my own sister Titi Labinjoh reportedly has been talking to Dr. Deji Adeleke since the pandemic. About what?” she asked.

She further revealed that her sister recently called their mother from Abuja, voicing concern over renewed media scrutiny of Anu and complaints from her colleagues. “Our mom told her to ignore it. What about Anu who has to endure everything?” she said, adding that she was troubled by allegations that her sister may have accepted money from the Adeleke family.

Citing Matthew 10:36, she described the situation as a painful family betrayal and denied any collaboration with controversial blogger Kemi Olunloyo to advance the narrative.

She clarified her past involvement with Olunloyo, explaining: “Dr. Kemi opened this page and took photos online, some she took with Anu and some I posted myself. She handed the page to us in 2019. I’m not a social media user and didn’t post for four years.”

She said she resumed posting in 2023 during Anu’s 10th birthday photoshoot, noting that she no longer resides in Ibadan and that Anu currently lives with her grandmother. “I’m a trader by profession. I buy my goods from border countries. There was no time Titi told Dr. Kemi to stop posting about Anu. They don’t have each other’s contact and do not talk.”

The mother added that her mother, Mrs. Ropo Labinjoh, independently posts some of Anu’s videos, and the family has not been in contact with Olunloyo despite the blogger’s ongoing commentary. She recalled that Olunloyo had publicly supported them during a 2018 appeal and held a press conference on their behalf.

Addressing Dr. Adeleke directly, she said: “Sir, as the patriarch of the family, you should not be talking on David’s behalf. I’m not Sophia negotiating child support. Let David address me.”

She accused the Adeleke family of leveraging their influence and wealth to monitor her family. “Your power and money are being abused here. David is obviously a boy and not a man,” she said, warning, “If anything happens to me, my daughter, or my mom, the police should hold you responsible.”

Regarding the DNA tests, she firmly denied claims that additional tests were conducted years after the initial examination. “Anu and I never met with you in 2020 for four additional DNA tests,” she stated.

She also rejected suggestions of any connection between Anu and Davido’s cousin, B-Red. “I have not seen B-Red since February 2013 when they dined at my place of work, GQ Club in Ibadan. Anu has never met B-Red.” She claimed that suspicions linking her to B-Red stemmed from questions raised by Kemi Olunloyo during a past interview, portions of which have circulated online. “She suspected I may have also slept with him. That interview is now floating around. Post the tests, sir,” she said.

Prompt News reports this statement follows closely on the heels of comments by Dr. Deji Adeleke, who publicly detailed the Adeleke family’s efforts to determine if Davido is Anuoluwapo’s biological father. Dr. Adeleke recounted how the family first became aware of the child through documents, photographs, and correspondence, which prompted multiple DNA tests to resolve the issue.
