A 29-year-old man has reportedly been killed by his friend during a confrontation over a land disagreement in Ayede, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The incident, according to findings by The Hope Metro, occurred last week around 2:30 p.m.

The deceased, identified as Daniel Olorunyomi, was said to have been shot during an argument linked to the lingering dispute.

An eyewitness said the suspect confronted Olorunyomi while he was carrying out his regular activities, leading to a heated exchange.

The altercation quickly escalated, and the suspect allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot the victim before escaping from the scene.

Residents who heard the gunshot rushed over and met the victim critically injured.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel confirmed him dead.
