After one week of delay due to customs clearance issues in Morocco, the Super Falcons’ training kits at the ongoing CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco have finally been delivered to the team’s Ibis Casablanca Hotel on Thursday evening, Prompt News reports.
The none arrival of the kits has seen the team trained in old matchday jerseys since the competition started a week ago, and this has sparked conversations in Nigeria, although the issue was purely logistical and out of the Nigeria Football Federation’s control.
Recall that the federation’s President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, had addressed the issue in Casablanca,
explaining that the kits, provided by global sportswear giant Nike, were delayed due to Moroccan Customs’ clearance issue, which has now been resolved amicably but not without stressing the Nigerians who did everything possible to secure the goods.

Meanwhile, Prompt News gathered that the arrival of the much-awaited kits ahead of the crucial quarter-final match against Zambia on Friday at Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca has now brought smiles on the faces of Super Falcons’ players who are happy that the kits have arrived at last.
