Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed that the Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre raked in ₦650 million within three weeks of its inauguration.
Wike made the disclosure during a media parley in Abuja on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
He said the centre, which was renovated at a cost of ₦39 billion under his leadership, has seen a dramatic rise in revenue compared to its previous performance.
“Before the renovation, the operator of the conference centre paid only ₦50 million to the FCT annually,” Wike said. “But since it was reopened on June 10, it has already generated ₦650 million in just three weeks.
That shows Nigerians appreciate quality.”
He added that the centre hosted the recent Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) summit, earning praise from diplomats and dignitaries.
