Nigeria legend Austine Jay Jay Okocha has has advised Victor Osimhen to join Galatasaray on a permanent transfer, Prompt News reports.
Osimhen shone during his loan spell with the Yellow and Reds in the 2024/25 season.
The 26-year-old played a crucial role in Galatasaray’s title defence, scoring 26 goals to emerge the league top scorer.
Galatasaray are desperate to sign him on a permanent transfer, while there is also interest from Saudi club, Al Hilal.
Okocha however believed joining Galatasaray on a permanent deal would be most suitable for his compatriot.
“Turkey is a great place to play and live football,” Okocha told TRT Spor via Haberler,
“Sometimes, you may need to make sacrifices when making decisions in football. Osimhen had a great season at Galatasaray.
Ultimately, he is happy there. Why shouldn’t he stay with the team? I love Turkey. He loves it too.”
