Brentford defender Benjamin Frederick has been named replacement for Christantus Uche in Super Eagles’ squad for the Unity Cup invitational tournament, Prompt News reports.

Uche couldn’t link up with the team in London after he was denied entry visa.

The Getafe striker is now expected to link up with the Super Eagles for the international friendly against Russia next week Friday.

His replacement, Frederick trained with the team on Thursday night.

The centre-back was outstanding for Brentford in the 2024/25 season.

He was named the Bees Young Player of the Season.

The Super Eagles will face Reggae Boys of Jamaica in the final of the Unity Cup on Saturday.
