Multiple award-winning artist Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has deleted all posts from his Instagram account and unfollowed everyone, leaving his 18 million followers in suspense.
The sudden social media purge has ignited speculation, with fans and industry insiders debating what it could mean.
Prompt News reports that this isn’t the first time the Nigerian music superstar has taken such an action.
In August 2019, he cleared his Instagram page, stirring conversations about an upcoming project.
He did the same in July 2022 before releasing his album More Love, Less Ego, leaving only a few posts related to his performances.
Given this pattern, many believe this latest move could indicate that new music or a major announcement is on the way.
Artists often use social media wipes as a marketing strategy, signaling the end of one era and the beginning of another.
Some musicians and celebrities do it to build anticipation, while others see it as a way to refresh their public image.
With Wizkid’s history of making bold statements through his online presence, fans are eager to see what he has in store.
Despite the speculation, Wizkid has remained silent on the matter, offering no official explanation.
Some fans believe he could be rebranding, while others are convinced that he is preparing to drop a new project.
As excitement builds, social media is abuzz with theories and discussions about the potential meaning behind Wizkid’s latest move.
His loyal fanbase remains on high alert, waiting for any hints or updates from the Afrobeats icon.
Whether it’s a rebrand, a new album, or something entirely unexpected, one thing is certain—Wizkid knows how to keep his audience intrigued.
