The unexpected breakup of Nigerian music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia and his wife, actress Annie Idibia, has created a buzz online.
This has led many to draw parallels between their challenging 13-year marriage and the marriage of Davido and Chioma Adeleke, also called Chef Chi.
As the drama of 2Baba and Annie’s damaged relationship unfolds, Nigerians are choosing sides.
Prompt News reports that some are cheering for 2Baba, while others are staunchly supporting Annie. The most alarming part is the gossip about Davido and Chioma’s future together.
Since the Idibias’ split became public, many have begun to see similarities between the two couples’ relationships.
On Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), users are debating whether Davido and Chioma are on a similar path to heartbreak.
The similarities in the backgrounds of 2Baba and Davido are hard to overlook. Both have had children with different women before settling down with their wives.
Fans often highlight a key similarity: both Annie and Chioma were part of their husbands’ lives during their early, uncertain times.
While many fans wish for Davido and Chioma to succeed against the odds, some are doubtful, thinking that the problems that led to 2Baba and Annie’s split are already evident in Davido and Chioma’s bond.
