The 17th CAF Safe Stadium Initiative Workshop being organised by the Confederation of African (CAF) Safety and Security Department headed by Christian Ifeanyichujwu Emeruwa, Ph.D, has ended in Tunisia’s capital city of Tunis.
The two-day workshop came to an end yesterday with the award of certificates to successful participants comprising of Safety and Security Officers from the Tunisia Premier League Clubs, Tunisia Football Federation (FTF) Safety and Security Committee, Tunisia Police, Airport Security and International Match Organisation Committee.
Speaking on the successful workshop in Tunisia, Emeruwa praised the Tunisia Football Federation for the successful hosting of the programme, saying that he is quite certified with the programme moreso the response of the participants.
“We are glad to announce the completion of the 17th CAF Safe Stadium Initiative in Tunisia. We are determined to ensure that all member associations officials responsible for the delivery of safety and security in Africa must have a proper training to function effectively.
“We appreciate the Tunisia Football Federation for their commitment to host this Initiative. Our next stop for the year is Nigeria”.
At the last count, no fewer than 600 people have been trained through the programme across 17 countries in Africa with each nation training 40 participants each.
