Edo Queens lost 3-1 to TP Mazembe in the semi-final of their 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League tie in Casablanca on Tuesday.
The first half ended 0-0 with the Nigerian champions having the better chances.
Emem Essien opened scoring for Edo Queens in the 65th minute, slotting home Paulina Alli’s cross.
Merveille Nanguji however equalised for TP Mazembe on the dot of 90 minutes.
The game went into extra time with the scoreline locked at 1-1.
Comfort Folorunsho conceded an own goal in the 101 minute as TP Mazembe took the lead for the first time in the game.
Marlene converted from the penalty spot eight minutes later to put the game beyond Moses Aduku’s side.
