Napoli claimed Galatasaray can’t afford Victor Osimhen’s transfer fee and has therefore ruled out the possibility of the Nigerian joining the Turkish Super Lig champions on a permanent transfer.
Prompt News reports that Osimhen arrived the RAMS Park on a season- long loan deal from Napoli on September 4.
Galatasaray have expressed interest in turning the loan deal to a permanent transfer.
The Nigerian international has buyout clause of €75m in his contract which has proven to be a big stumbling block for the Yellow and Reds.
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna revealed there are other clubs, who are interested in the powerful striker.
“Our door is closed to negotiations. Galatasaray does not have the budget to pay this amount at this moment,”Manna was quoted by Webaslan.
“The fee is €75 million, there are many teams that want Osimhen. They are ready to pay this amount.”
