Aminu Maigari, President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says he is optimistic they will move into the Sunday Dankaro Football House before the end of the year.
The new Football House was declared open by Vice President,Namadi Sambo and handed over to NFF unfurnished by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) who used the leftover of the money realized from the Super Eagles 2010 world cup campaign to build the edifice.
Maigari said that NFF had expected that they would be handed over the multi million naira edifice fully furnished but since it has turned out like that, the Federation will go ahead to furnish the place.
“We are doing everything possible to ensure that we move into the new football House in the next few months. It is true we have some financial challenges but we shall do our best to move in even if it is gradual”
“The NFF appreciates government gesture in using the balance of the PTF money to build this beautiful edifice. We are happy to have a place we can call our own” the NFF boss stated.
Maigari said the financial challenges the NFF is facing stemmed from the crowded competitions they were involved in since last year adding that his joy was that they “yielded dividends with our winning the AFCON and qualifying for all age grade competitions”.
