Nigeria’s Falconets stormed into the second round at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after a comfortable 4-0 victory over Venezuela.
Aminat Bello set the tone for the victory with a smooth finish on 16 minutes after she was teed up by Chiamaka Okwuchukwu.
Okwuchukwu doubled Nigeria’s lead with a header from Olusola Shobowale’s corner-kick 12 minutes later.
It was Okuchukwu’s second goal of the tournament.
Flourish Sabastine and Joe Igbokwe added two more goals for Nigeria to make the scoreline more emphatic.
Chris Danjuma’s side finished second in Group D behind Germany.
Both countries recorded six points from three games but enjoyed a better goal difference.
