Respite may have come the way of Nigerians, at least in the energy sector, as the much-awaited Dangote Refinery has today (Tuesday) in Lagos unveiled its Premium Motor Spirits (PMS) commonly known as petrol produced in the multi billion facilities located at Ibeju-Lekki area of the state.
The unveiling of PMS which was done by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group followed the tour of the factory just as Dangote said the petrol is of high quality that vehicle owners will no longer have to face incessant engine Knocks.
Dangote also said that the company will be able to supply all Nigeria’s petrol needs and export outside the country, pointing out that small businesses will now survive in Nigeria.
However, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited is set to become the initial exclusive buyer of its products according to media reports.
Dangote Refinery which costs USD20 billion has the capability of refining about 650 000 barrels per day (bpd) in the facilities.
