Nigerian Afrobeat singers Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, and Divine Ekubo, better known as Rema are included in former American president Barack Obama‘s 2024 summer playlist.
Every summer of the year, the first black American president always releases a list of his favorite songs for the year.
Several Afrobeat artists have made it to his honorable list over the years and this time, only two singers were on it.
Tems made it to the list for her amazing work on her hit track, Love Me Jeje which featured on her latest album, “Born in the Wild.”
Rema’s Yayo, which features on his latest album, “HEIS” also made it to Barack Obama’s playlist.
South Africa’s Tyla also made it to the list.
