Ese Brume is optimistic she will emerge stronger from the disappointment of her poor outing at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Brume finished in fifth position in the final of the women’s long jump.
The 27-year-old won bronze medal three years ago in Tokyo but was unable to fulfill expectations this time around.
The Delta-State born athlete attributed her shoddy display to injury.
“To be honest, it was an amazing experience for me,” Brume told Making of Champions.
“Looking back to where I’m coming from, I didn’t compete much this year because of injuries. Even up to today, I also competed with an injury, but I’m glad that I made it this far. I’m happy with myself and thankful to God.”
