Nigeria’s Blessing Oborodudu reached the semi-final in the women’s wrestling 68kg event at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games on Monday.
Oborodudu defeated France’s Koumba Larroque 6-2 in their quarter-final match.
The powerful wrestler will battle Meerim
Zhumanazarova of Kyrgyzstan for a place in the final.
Oborodudu is an Olympic silver medallist, while Zhumanazarova is an Olympic bronze medallist.
The Nigerian is ranked sixth in the world, while Zhumanazarova is ranked 16th.
The duo will do battle later this evening at 8pm Nigeria time, PNO Sports reports.
