Women’s 100m hurdles world record holder Tobi Amusan has been cleared of doping offence by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
The ruling means Amusan is eligible to run at the 2024 Olympic Games which will hosted in Paris, France.
The 28-year-old was suspended last year by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) for missing three drug tests within a 12-month period.
The body sought a two-year period of ineligibility for the athlete, PROMPT NEWS recalls.
The suspension was upturned by the AIU panel which allowed her to run at the 2023 World Athletics Championship.
CAS dismissed a joint appeal by the World Athletics (WA) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) against the women’s 100m hurdles world record holder.
The court upholds the earlier verdict by the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal (WADT) that found Amusan not guilty of any anti-doping. READ ALSO:
