The 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season season will kick off on August 31, according to the organisers.
NPFL chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye revealed the news via the body’s social media accounts.
Stakeholders will hope the NPFL stick to this date.
The kick-off dates of the NPFL have often been changed over the years.
Enugu Rangers won the 2023/24 season title, their first since 2016 and eighth overall.

Four clubs; Sporting Lagos, Doma United, Heartland and Gombe United were relegated to the Nigeria National League.
Nasarawa United, El-Kanemi Warriors, Ikorodu City and Beyond Limits have been promoted to the NPFL.
