Bafana Bafana of South Africa captain Rowen Williams has said the side will look to beat the Super Eagles in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture next month.
Hugo Broos’ side will be up against the Super Eagles in a matchday three encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday, June 7.
Bafana Bafana enjoyed a 2-1 victory over the Super Eagles the last time both teams met at the ground.
The Super Eagles claimed a 4-2 penalty shootout victory against South Africa in a semi-final encounter at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
“The last time we went to Nigeria we beat them. I was part of that squad so I will share my experience with the players,” Williams was quoted by the Citizens. READ ALSO:

“And it was a valuable experience in the Afcon, playing Nigeria. I think that was one of our better games at the Afcon, so it is possible to go there and get a result. Why not? We have shown we can compete with the best, we just need to show that consistency.”
