Former Super Eagles winger, Emmanuel Amuneke has said he is not desperate to be the next head coach of the team.
Amuneke’s name has been touted as one of the successor to Jose Peseiro.
“I am not desperate (to be Eagles coach),” he insisted.
“But I am a coach who nurses the ambition.
“If I have the opportunity to serve my fatherland, I will do that.”
Amuneke has served as assistant coach of the Eagles twice.
First, he assisted Samson Siasia in 2016 and then in 2022, he was Number two to Augustine Eguavoen when the country failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
