Victor Boniface is determined to score more goals for Bayer Leverkusen after netting for the first tiime this year against West Ham United on Thursday night.
Boniface scored Die Werkself’s second goal in the 2-0 victory at the BayArena.
The result put Xabi Alonso’s side in good position to secure a place in the semi-final of the UEFA Europa League
“I feel happy, you know. It’s not easy considering I was out for about three months. I missed a lot of games, so coming back to help my team means a lot and I’m really happy to be playing football again,” he told OmaSports TV.
” I’m looking forward to helping my team whenever I’m called upon, we have a big game on Sunday, so we’re looking forward to that.”
Boniface has scored five goals in six appearances in the UEFA Europa League this season.
