Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, has said that all the foreign based players he invited for the August 14 international friendly match against South Africa dubbed ‘Mandela Challenge’ have assured that they would be available for the match
In a chat with Prompt News Online, Keshi said that all the players have indicated their willingness to return to South Africa where they won the Africa Cup of Nations early this year and engage the Bafana Bafana.
“I am glad that all the players I invited have given me their words that they would be available and willing to play, It is going to be a good game and we hope to maintain our supremacy over Bafana Bafana in that game”
He continued “it is a friendly match but we have prestige at stake and that is why we are going there with our best to give it our best. It will also help us to prepare for the September World cup qualifier against Malawi”
Keshi disclosed that the home based players he invited are expected to open camp next week in Abuja while the foreign based players are expected to fly direct to South Africa from their respective base.
