The Kano State Fire Service says it saved 25 lives and property worth N95 million from 70 fire incidents recorded in the state in January.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the agency, Mr Saminu Abdullahi, on Tuesday in Kano.

Abdullahi also said that two persons lost their lives, while property worth N40 million were destroyed by fire during the period.

“The service responded to nine rescue calls and 11 false alarms from residents of the state,” he added.
He advised the general public to handle fire with care especially during harmattan season. (NAN)
