A Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, on Tuesday remanded a 23-year old petrol pump attendant, James Samuel in a correctional facility for allegedly stealing N1.1million.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Patrick Adekomaiya who made the pronouncement after the defendant pleaded guilty to the charge, adjourned the case to Feb. 12, for facts and sentencing.
Earlier, Police Prosecutor, Insp Ayodele Adeosun told the court that Samuel committed the offence at about 7.30p.m on Jan. 11, in Mowo area of Badagry, Lagos.

Adeosum said that the defendant, a petrol pump attendant at BFO Oil and Gas, stole the amount, being the daily sales of the petrol station for that day.
He said that the offence contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State (2015). (NAN)
