As the First Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) pre-Africa Games ends in Abuja, the federation’s technical director, Samuel Onikeku says based on performance at the meet, Athletes are 85 per cent ready for the Games in Accra,Ghana.
Onikeku who supervises the technical department of the federation noted that with the forthcoming competition on February 16-17th, AthIetes would be 95% ready for Games.
“We had a good performance in 400m, 1500m, high jump, long jump and 200m where Athletes posted commanding results that could fetch Nigeria a podium appearance in Accra Ghana Games.”
According to Onikeku, with athletes performance in first competition which ended today and the anticipated performance in the second competition, selection for camping would be very ease. READ ALSO:

The technical director expressed gratitude and also congratulated Athletes and all technical officials, the Media and AFN President the executives for being available at the venue of the competition.
