Smartcash Payment Service Bank (PSB), a subsidiary of Airtel Nigeria, says it has partnered with Stanbic IBTC Bank to focus on cash deposits and withdrawals for its customers across Nigeria.
The Head of Partnership, Smartcash Payment Service Bank, Judith Osiobe, made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos.
She said that the collaboration was aimed at leveraging Stanbic IBTC Bank’s branch network to provide additional financial services to Airtel Smartcash customers across Nigeria.
Osiobe said that the collaboration was another opportunity to drive financial inclusion.
“Since inception, we have seen Smartcash achieve a great feat in helping to promote financial inclusion and education through collaborations with various groups.
“We are, therefore, excited to collaborate with Stanbic IBTC Bank to expand access to financial services for more Nigerians.
“This partnership aligns with our commitment to catering to the diverse needs of our customers,” she said.
She quoted Omolara Osunsoko, Head of Partnerships at Stanbic IBTC Bank, as emphasising the role of financial institutions in the economy.

Osiobe quoted Osunsoko as saying that the partnership reaffirmed Stanbic IBTC Bank’s commitment to deeping customer experience for Airtel Smartcash users by providing easy and accessible cash-in and cash-out services across branches.
“The initiative allows Airtel Smartcash wallet customers to deposit and withdraw cash from any Stanbic IBTC Bank branch without hassles.
“Smartcash and Stanbic IBTC Bank are confident that the synergies created through this partnership will significantly contribute to the advancement of financial inclusion in Nigeria, ” Osiobe quoted Osunsoko as saying. (NAN)
