Disturbed by the high wave of violent crimes plaguing the nation’s seat of power, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has convened an emergency security meeting to look for ways of curbing the menace.
Recall that bandits have recently operated in the FCT and its environs with brazen impunity, kidnapping and killing some of their victims without any challenge.
Few days ago, several residents, including a 13-year-old secondary school student, were killed over failure to meet the deadline for ransom payment.
However, Wike has at the emergency meeting today assured FCT residents that their safety is guaranteed.
He also said the government was working to support security agents with everything they need to tackle the spate of insecurity in FCT. READ ALSO:

Prompt News reports that the closed-door meeting which was still ongoing as at the time of filing this report has in attendance Heads of Security Agencies in the FCT, top officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), FCT Area Council Chairmen as well as traditional rulers in FCT.
