Napoli sporting director, Mauro Meluso has expressed his delight following Victor Osimhen’s decision to sign a contract extension with the club.
The Serie A champions announced on Saturday that the Nigeria international has penned an extension.
The 24-year-old is now contracted to the Naples club until 2026.
Osimhen get a huge pay rise which makes him the highest paid player in Napoli’s history.
The release clause of around €120 to €140m was also reportedly inserted in the contract. READ ALSO:

“I will not get into the details. We are just pleased that Osimhen signed the new contract. The club made a step towards the player, who was also eager to continue his rapport with Napoli,”Meluso told DAZN.
“He never backed down or showed a lack of effort, just like his teammates, so he made his commitment clear with action.”
