An Area Court in Jos on Tuesday sentenced Jemilu Bala, 22, to six months imprisonment for stealing a carton of maggi seasoning cubes and a carton of Dudu-Osun soap all valued N 55,000.
The Judge, Shawomi Bokkos, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the offence and begged the court for leniency.
He also gave the convict an option of N20, 000 fine.
Earlier, the police prosecutor, Insp Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the case was reported at the “A” Division police station on Oct. 10, by Mr Gbenga Ayantola.
He said the accused person trespassed into his store and stole a carton of Maggi seasoning cubes and a carton of Dudu – Osun soap all valued N 55,000. READ ALSO:

The prosecutor further told the court that during police investigation, the accused confessed to have committed the offence.
He said the offence contravened the Plateau State Penal Code law of Northern Nigeria. (NAN)
