Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau has advised personnel of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), to be professional in the discharge of their constitutional duties.
The governor gave the advice shortly after he decorated 19 personnel of the force with their new ranks on Tuesday in Jos.
The decorated personnel were recently elevated from the ranks of Sergeants to Inspectors in the Police force.
Mutfwang, particularly tasked them on discipline, hard work and commitment to duty.
He also called on them to operate within the tenets of their profession.
”Promotions usually come added responsibilities and expectations, so you must be ready to carry out these new tasks diligently and to the best of your abilities.
” This implies that you must be hardworking and conduct yourselves professionally at all times.
”By doing so, you will get to the height of your profession,”Mutfwang said.
The governor assured the Police command in the state of a conducive working environment and promised to provide the necessary support that would enable them discharge their constitutional duties effectively.
Responding on behalf of the decorated personnel, Insp. Lucy Ishaya, assured the governor of their readiness to discharge their duties to the best of their abilities.
