Shortly after three explosions rocked an area close to the venue of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally in Okrika, Rivers State, gunmen have again, invaded the rally ground.
As the campaign got underway, unknown gunmen from nowhere stormed the rally ground, firing shots indiscriminately.
Party members and leaders had to scamper for safety as they abandoned the rally.
The gun shots went on for about five minutes before police surfaced to secure the venue.
By the time normalcy returned, the APC governorship candidate in the State, Dakuku Peterside and other party leaders had taken to their heels.
Prompt News reports that three explosions had rocked the area earlier in the day but the rally went ahead as scheduled after normalcy returned.
