            2015-election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday announced the extension of deadline for the collection of the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The latest extension follows the rescheduling of the 2015 general elections earlier billed for February 14 and 28 to March 28 and April 11, 2015.
A statement signed by the Secretary to INEC, Mrs. Augusta C. Ogakwu, stated that the collection of PVCs will continue for four more weeks until March 8th, 2015.
According to her, the Commission “hopes that this extension will finally avail every registered person yet to collect his/her PVC the opportunity to do so in readiness for the general elections.”
Prof. Attahiru Jega, INEC boss had assured Nigerians that the shift in dates would enable the Commission resolve all outstanding issues relating to distribution of PVCs.
The deadline for collection was earlier slated for Sunday, February 8, 2015.
